Elizabeth Gilbert addresses in her TED talk the concept of a “genius” and how we can keep on being creative as well as stay sane. She plays around with the idea that when people shouldn’t put all their success (or failure) all on themselves. The idea of the “genius” to the Romans, was that “genius” was a sort of sprite who would grace artist and scholars with inspiration. So whether an artist created a master piece was up to the “genius”. Elizabeth delivers this talk with beautiful pros and clear explanations and it’s a wonderful thing to see.
